To provide leadership in the management of information systems for District 58 which includes the student information system, student achievement data and other related databases.

REPORTS TO: Assistant Superintendent for Technology and Learning
Job Summary:
1. Manages the District information systems including:

• Local Student information system (Currently PowerSchool)
• State Student Information (ISBE SIS)
• Assessment Platforms (NWEA MAP, AIMSweb, Pearson, etc.)
• Accelerated and Gifted Placement Data
• Clever Sync and Student Learning Applications
• Student Data Analytics Platforms
• Destiny Library Platform
• Other District databases 2. Student information system responsibilities
  • Primary contact for PowerSchool
  • Develops information system policies and procedures
  • Provides PowerSchool training
  • Troubleshooting resource for PowerSchool
  • Manages exports to other databases
  • Annual CRDC Reporting
  • Manage custom plug-ins (may require basic HTML/javascript skills) 3. Supports training and leads professionals development in the use of PowerSchool for all users, including:
    • School Office Staff
    • District Office Staff
    • Certified Staff
    • Administrators
    • Families and students 4. Coordinates Community Facing Technology Initiatives
      • Parent Teacher Conference Registration System
      • Student Registration
      • Student Class List Announcements 5. Participates in ongoing professional development.
        • Attends IBSE Webinars for Assessments, Attendance, and other data topics
        • Participates in local and national PowerSchool users groups
          6. Completes other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
          Qualifications:
          • Minimum of three years experience with data management
          • Experience with PowerSchool, or similar Student Information preferred
          • Proficient with data structures including SQL and Spreadsheets
          • Proficient with managing rostering and single sign-on for a wide variety of education applications
          • Proficient with managing assessment data and generating reports for a wide variety of end-users Working Conditions:
            12 month position
            Salary $70,000 - $95,000
