- Preparing and analyzing financial models
- Researching M&A candidates, including qualitative,
financial and valuation analyses
- Organizing and conducting due diligence on potential
acquisition targets
- Developing theses on investment rationale, model drivers and
due diligence and communicating and supporting findings to
corporate development team
- Creating investment memorandums and related presentations
- Working as a key liaison to business segments, transaction
advisors and acquisition targets
- Create, track and maintain a pipeline of transactions across
the businesses
- Executing special projectsSkills and experience that will lead
to success
- Bachelors Degree
- 2+ years of work experience in investment banking, venture
capital, corporate mergers and acquisitions or transaction advisory
services. Other finance and accounting positions may be
considered
- Experience in financial modeling, analysis and research in a
transaction-related environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Exceptional problem solving and communication skills
- Works well under high pressure situations to deliver high
quality work on tight timelines
- Intense intellectual curiosity and ability to learn
quickly
- Self-starter capable of working independently while managing
numerous simultaneous priorities
- Willingness to work and be available outside of normal working

position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $75,000 - $90,000
annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's
education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal
equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be
adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.The salary range
reflected is based on a primary work location of Chicago, Illinois.
The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic
location.This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's
annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in
addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is
subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive
