Description SummaryCushman and Wakefield is seeking a Financial
Analyst for their market-leading capital markets (investment sales)
team, specifically supporting the Multifamily Team. The role will
be based out of the company's office in downtown Chicago.Job
DescriptionThe ideal candidate for this role is someone who can
operate in a fast-paced environment and multi-task under tight
deadlines while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
The Financial Analyst will provide financial and analytical support
services, which will include preparing proposals/opinions of value
and marketing materials, data input, underwriting property values,
analyzing sales trends and preparing financial analysis for
presentation to clients as well as the wider investment market.
This position requires significant computer and communication
skills with a strong emphasis on Excel modeling. Professionalism
and attention to detail are essential traits for the ideal
candidate.Responsibilities
- Direct professional communication and coordination with our
clients and investors.
- Responsible for ensuring timely and efficient completion of
client deliverables.
- Underwrites investment property opportunities throughout
Chicago and the broader metro region, including property and
valuation cash flow analysis, operating cash flow projections,
summary documentation and other miscellaneous analysis.
- Analyzes legal real estate documentation such as leases,
property financial statements, tenant reimbursement reconciliation
statements, etc.
- Prepare and conduct written and oral presentations for Broker
Opinions of Value (BOVs) or Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
- Assist in the creation of an Offering Memorandum (OM) used to
market a property for disposition.
- Work with potential buyers to clearly explain underwritten
details and calculations.
- Assist in the transfer of information between buyer and seller
during due diligence.
- Maintain databases tracking various aspects of capital markets
deal flow.
- Helps maintain team databases and summaries of market
transactions and intel for research and/or marketing purposes.
- Performs other ad-hoc duties as assigned.Skills and/or
Credentials Required
- Holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics,
Business Administration or similar.
- Deadline-oriented mindset with strong ability to multitask
across a variety of ongoing projects in varying phases.
- Extremely numbers-oriented with excellent proficiency with
financial modeling and analysis including real estate financial
concepts such as discounted cash flow (DCF), IRR, NPV, CoC, YoC,
LTV, etc.
- Strong attention-to-detail leading to efficient and error-free
work and analysis is critical to this role.
- Strong verbal and electronic communication skills, with a
strong preference for well-developed business writing skills and
experience.
- General understanding of real estate market fundamentals and
concepts/terms (i.e. cap rate, NOI, etc.) is preferred.
- Proficient in Excel, Word and other Microsoft Office Suite
products.
- At least 1-4 years of relevant commercial real estate
experience is preferred with focus on capital markets transactions
(i.e. sales, recapitalizations, financings, etc.); some multifamily
analysis experience is preferred.Cushman & Wakefield also provides

offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as
whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining

market pay rates in that area, and the candidate's experience and
qualifications. The company will not pay less than minimum wage for
this role. The compensation for the position is: $63,750.00 -
