SummaryResponsible for generating and checking wiring diagrams,
electrical engineering drawings and designs for modifications to
commercial aircraft. The role requires collaboration with PMO,
Certification and other technical teams as appropriate.Location:
Anywhere in the U.S. or Europe where Anuvu is establishedRemote
Options: RemoteWhat You'll be Doing
- Accomplish detailed design of aircraft equipment installations
and modifications, including parts, assemblies, installation
drawings and instructions, parts lists and aircraft manual
supplements.
- Design the electrical aspects for the integration of Anuvu's
broadband and video-on-demand systems into the aircraft.
- Provide electrical engineering expertise and communicate
relevant information within the organization and supporting
groups.
- Prepare and/or review electrical load, system safety, EWIS, and
other analysis.
- Prepare and/or review documentation to ensure satisfaction of
customer, company and regulatory requirements.
- Work to quickly resolve manufacturing and installation
problems.
- Monitor and report status against project requirements.
- Support aircraft surveys, design reviews, and aircraft
modifications.
- Perform additional duties as directed; some travel and
on-aircraft testing may be required.What We're Looking For
- BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or Aerospace engineering
with Avionics concentration; MS preferred.
- Relevant experience will be considered in place of a specific
degree.
- 4+ years in the aviation/aerospace or similar industry.
- 2+ years of experience working in an electrical/system design
capacity.
- Requires working knowledge and experience with aircraft design
methodologies and standard practices.
- Requires working knowledge of and experience using AutoCAD;
experience with Solidworks is a plus.
- Requires working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and FAR
and CS rules and regulations.
- Self-motivated with the ability to create alternative solutions
and comfortable working with strict timelines.
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of STC process and experience working with FAA
Designated Engineering Representative (DER).
- Knowledge of Design Engineer, Compliance Verification Engineer
roles and responsibility under EASA DOA is a plus, as well as any
P21J procedures.
- Experience with Commercial Aircraft is a plus, but not
