  • Use best engineering and manufacturing practices to improve manufacturing processes; apply Lean or Six Sigma methods to increase efficiency and first pass yield, with effective root cause problem solving.
  • Create and maintain mBOM's from Design Engineering eBOM's. Coordinate with Supply Chain for new supplier onboarding when needed, capture of alternate parts in the mBOM, etc.
  • Create fabrication and manufacturing level drawings and instructions from design engineering master drawing sets.
  • In support of the Production Manager, help implement new production lines and process improvements; assess production equipment, hardware, and tooling; recommend repairs or replacement.
  • Analyze data to find trends and suggest process changes to solve problems.
  • Write work instructions and train employees on new or updated processes.
  • Participate in EHS actions to improve safety on the shop floor; lead and work with manufacturing and other support teams to complete projects that meet EHS, production, quality, and cost savings goals on time.
  • Ensure that all engineering designs and technical data are complete and accurate for future reference and customer/end user requirements; prepare and present product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, summarizing information and trends.Qualifications:
  • A.S. in Manufacturing Engineering, with 4+ years of engineering experience, OR B.S. in Manufacturing Engineering, with 2+ years of engineering.
  • Certain types of hands-on experience working with a highly technical, fast-paced Team in a technical field may be used to replace the above listed years of engineering Team experience.
  • Basic knowledge of machine design, pumps and piping systems, electrical components and connections, generators, and air compressor piping and connections.
  • Some experience with SolidWorks or equivalent CAD program, and the ability to both review and create part and tooling models, drawings, and BOM objects.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Reasonable accommodation can be made as needed.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Reliability is a must, willingness to learn and adapt to new requirements and environments.
  • Willing and able to follow required policies (i.e, Drug Testing, etc. as required).Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced knowledge of SolidWorks.
  • Experience with sensors, control design, component selection, PLC programming, robot programming, 3D printer software.
  • Expertise with implementation of manufacturing systems and enabling software tools (CAD, CAM, CAPP, Manufacturing Execution System, SAP, Technical Publications, SPC, etc.) relevant to the business.
  • Practical knowledge of machine design, machine controls, safety requirements, ergonomic requirements, machine validation, maintenance, failure modes, communications, calibration, machine diagnostics, tooling management, coolant systems, work handling, KPV monitoring, standards, and new technology.
