Job Description:
Project Management & Schedule SpecialistPurpose:
- Hill Technical Solutions, a Valkyrie company, is hiring for a
Project Management & Schedule Specialist in Huntsville, AL.
- The work is mission critical for keeping the program
management, planning, and schedule management. The qualified
candidate will be a proactive, motivated contributor supporting the
Space & Missile Defense Command (SMDC).Job Description:
- Support development and coordination of the overarching Systems
Engineering Directorate (SED) program and multi-project schedules;
support review and coordination in support of various laboratory
efforts, creation of roadmaps, and executive level briefings.
- Coordinate with team members regarding external scope of work
and schedule to support lab establishment, operations, projects in
a customer reimbursable organization. Details will include schedule
for hardware/software upgrades, engineering documentation/reviews,
development, system accreditations/cyber requirements, test events,
fielding decisions, etc.
- Capable of interpretation of requirements and decomposing them
in a logical manner.
- Support multiple projects and labs simultaneously with the
ability to triage tasks.
- Support Program and Technical Management Reviews.
- Establish standing operations procedures and deliberate
communications internally and externally.
- Coordinate with team members to identify internal and external
support tasks and associated schedules for networks,
communications, logistics, deployment of element node/interface
equipment, etc. to support integration of sensors and external
systems.
- Audit the contractor schedules for logical dependency
relationships relating to systems and capability development and
identify any associated risks.
- Coordinate with team members to resolve internal and external
schedule disconnects, identify task successors/predecessors, and
address impacts due to schedule delays associated with
related/dependent tasks.
- Support budget and spend plans to align with schedule and
project plans.
- Coordinate and conduct frequent IMS Quantifiable Backup Data
(QBD) Traces in order to ensure availability and traceability.
- Ensure the contractor plans, utilizes, and reports resources
with appropriate experience and timely team assignments IMS tasks;
evaluate contractor resource status reports/delays at monthly
reviews.
- Track/facilitate Government Furnished Equipment (GFX), identify
appropriate Action Officers, obtain status updates, and provide
consolidated status to the team and JEMINI Program Manager.
- Support Risk and Opportunity Management reviews and ensure
mitigation plans are in place when required.
- Coordinate support tasks and associated schedules for networks,
communications, logistics, deployment of element node/interface
equipment, etc. to support integration of sensors and external
systems. Review Contracts documentation (SOW, Tech Evaluations,
etc.), as required, from a technical schedule performance
perspective.Qualifications:
- Must have 6+ years of experience in scheduling and program
management tasking (will consider education in exchange for years
of experience).
- Must have a BS/BA, will consider well-qualified candidate's
experience exchanged for education.
- Must have DoD program experience.Desired Qualifications:
- MS/MA in applicable business degrees, preferred.
- Knowledge of MS Project, Milestones Professional, EVMs tools,
preferred.
- Knowledge of Jira software.
- Formal Program Management training preferred.
- Directed Energy, High Altitude, Digital Analysis, Air &
Missile, Space industry, Modeling & Simulation program experience,
preferred.
- Army Multi-domain operations (MDO) specific experience
preferred.Security Requirements:
- Must have an Active DoD Secret clearance and the ability to
maintain that clearance.Travel Requirements:
- Occasional Travel - less than 10%.
- If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to
secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to
obtain (no later than position start date) and maintain appropriate
identification credentials, such as REAL ID.Physical Requirements:
- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting
for prolonged periods.
- Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to
another.
- Communicating with others to exchange information and repeating
motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
- Subject to outside environmental conditions (extreme
cold/heat), subject to noise, vibration, hazards, atmospheric
conditions (affect the respiratory system), frequently work in
close quarters and/or function in narrow aisles or passageways
