Development, your primary objective is to help OX grow through new
business acquisitions in alignment with goals we set year over
year.Your focus will be in developing top of funnel sales
strategies, tactics and programs that enable a healthy pipeline of
leads and prospects. From there you will be responsible for handing
off qualified leads to the client strategy team and other
discipline leads to develop winning proposals and pitches.While new
business development is your primary area of expertise, you are
capable of addressing strategic challenges holistically across our
prospective clients' businesses, marketing efforts, digital needs,
brands and enterprise software. You are a thoughtful practitioner,
inspiring leader and polished communicator who plays a critical
role in elevating, pitching and closing work for the organization.
The Associate Director, Business Development reports to the
Managing Director, Client Strategy.Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive revenue
growth by implementing strategic top-of-funnel sales
initiatives
- Evaluate and qualify leads to ensure alignment with business
objectives and sales potential, passing high-potential
opportunities to the client strategy team and other discipline
leaders at appropriate points, such as when a proposal is requested
or scope and approach need to be solidified
- Partner with OX executives to ensure alignment on solution
development. Facilitate OX proposal and pitch development,
collaborating with OX leads to assess needs, diagnose problems,
propose solutions, and prioritize actions towards strategic
goals
- Represent OX at industry events and conferences, taking a
leadership role to promote our presence, showcase service
offerings, and expand brand awareness to engage new audiences and
cultivate strategic opportunities
- Develop and manage external partnerships as sources of new
business, including software platforms, key opinion leaders,
industry experts, etc.
- Deliver on ongoing sales projections, forecasts, actuals, and
recommendations to help OX achieve sales and net new business
targets
- Align marketing strategies with business development goals and
collaborate with OX Marketing Manager to evolve and grow the lead
funnel
- Maintain OKRs and the commensurate reports to generate
actionable insights for business development (weekly, monthly,
quarterly, yearly)
- Ensure data and pipeline integrity by accurately tracking leads
and sales activities in Hubspot, communicating updates and insights
with internal teams to align efforts and decision-making
- Analyze and improve current sales processes
- Stay up-to-date with developments in the marketplace
- Other duties as needed and assigned by OX
leadershipRequirements
- 6+ years of agency experience focused in digital strategy,
strategic marketing or a related field
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or an
industry-relevant field
- Professional experience with high-profile sales
- Experience selling digital experience platforms such as
Optimizely, Adobe and Sitecore strongly preferred
- Knowledgeable about ecommerce platforms such as Adobe, Znode
and Shopify
- Fluent in a range of digital topics, including infrastructure
tools and platforms, design and development of digital experiences
and products, lead scoring and modeling, campaign design and
management, digital marketing, personalization, automation and
increasing performance against goals
- Well-versed in both B2B and B2C engagements, business models
and processes, with a preferred focus on B2B
- Proven experience building business cases for technology or
product efforts
- Proven experience developing ROI models for technology or
digital programs in the sales/pitch process
- Proven experience in engaging in discussion, debate and counsel
with senior-level leaders within client organizations
- Exceptional analytical, communications and organizational
skills with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced deadline-driven
environment
- Exceptional written and verbal communications skills with the
ability to translate complex analysis into well-structured and
powerful strategies and presentations
- Strong initiative, accountability and ownership of business
development process
- Ability to strategically build and expand the Business
Development team in alignment with OX's focus
- Occasional travel will be requiredQuantitative Goals
- Number of Leads: Target a specific number of qualified leads
generated per month or quarter (e.g., 20 high-quality leads per
month)
- Lead-to-Opportunity Conversion Rate: Achieve a certain
percentage of leads converting to opportunities (e.g.,
20%-30%)
- Pipeline Value: Maintain a pipeline of leads representing a
specific monetary value (e.g., $5 million in potential deals)
- Lead Response Time: Ensure leads are followed up within a set
