MxD embodies a strong startup culture with its creative and collaborative working environment, fostering curiosity and innovation.+ Position OverviewThe Facilities Operations Manager oversees facility operations and maintenance at MxD, ensuring efficiency, functionality, and compliance with organizational standards. This role manages contract maintenance staff, coordinates projects, and ensures timely, high-quality work while minimizing equipment downtime and implementing preventative measures. The position requires advanced technical problem-solving, project management expertise, and the ability to engage effectively with senior leadership, resident members, vendors, and other stakeholders.As the primary liaison with the landlord, the Facility Manager addresses building-related matters and ensures alignment with lease agreements. This role involves establishing and maintaining detailed maintenance logs, communicating regular updates to stakeholders, and fostering a safe, productive environment that supports MxD's mission and operations.+ Position Responsibilities

  • Provide detailed oversight of facility conditions and customer-facing appearance.
  • Supervise security and janitorial staff, ensuring contract compliance and performance standards.
  • Ensure emergency and evacuation protocols are maintained and up to date.
  • Formulate and implement a preventive maintenance program to ensure that buildings, systems, and equipment meet or exceed their rated life.
  • Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to schedule maintenance and other activities while managing payments and tracking expenses to minimize disruptions.
  • Identify and utilize preventative maintenance software and management tools to oversee facility and equipment performance.
  • Coordinate building use and construction efforts as necessary.
  • Ensure service providers deliver their contracted service levels to the standards required within the cost guidelines established.
  • Monitor building systems such as Building Management Systems to ensure business continuity and operation of equipment.+ Position Requirements
  • Facility or building management training or minimum 15+ years equivalent experience in engineering and maintenance required.
  • In-depth knowledge of building systems, mechanical and electrical operations, and energy management practices.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including potentially loud, hot, or physically demanding settings.
  • Ability to lift and carry tools, equipment, or supplies up to a specified weight (e.g., 50 pounds).
  • Capability to work outside of regular hours (nights, weekends, holidays) in case of emergencies.
  • Hands-on, team-oriented, and committed to the advancement of manufacturing technologies in the U.S.
  • Ability for some travel.
  • Ability and desire to work in a highly dynamic environment.
