Position Title: Basic Nursing Assistant Training (BNAT) Summer
DirectorReports To: Exec. Dir, Academic Affairs/Spec. Asst. to CEO
PilsenLocation: On Campus (Chicago, IL)Duration: 3-month
contractPosition Summary:The Basic Nursing Assistant Training
(BNAT) Summer Director is responsible for developing, implementing,
and administering the BNAT program. This role provides oversight
across multiple sites and ensures full compliance with state and
federal regulations. The Director supports instructors and
students, fosters continuous improvement, and works to enhance the
quality and effectiveness of the program. Additionally, the
Director collaborates closely with university leadership, faculty,
and clinical partners to ensure the successful training and
certification of nursing assistants.Duties and
Responsibilities:
- Program Administration & Compliance:
- Ensure the BNAT program meets state and federal certification
and accreditation requirements.
- Maintain compliance with regulations from the State Board of
Nursing, Department of Public Health, and accrediting bodies.
- Prepare and submit reports required for program approval and
accreditation.
- Develop and update the curriculum to align with state
regulations and best practices.
- Ensure instructional materials, policies, and procedures meet
high-quality training standards.
- Monitor and evaluate teaching methodologies to improve student
outcomes.
- Student & Faculty Support:
- Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate nursing instructors and
faculty.
- Provide mentorship and support to faculty in instructional
delivery and program effectiveness.
- Assist students in academic and career development, including
certification exam preparation.
- Clinical Coordination & Partnerships:
- Establish and maintain clinical site partnerships for student
training.
- Oversee scheduling and coordination of clinical rotations.
- Ensure students receive hands-on experience and meet clinical
competency requirements.
- Program Evaluation & Improvement:
- Track student performance, certification pass rates, and job
placement outcomes.
- Implement program improvements based on student and employer
feedback.
- Stay informed of industry trends to enhance program
effectiveness.
- Perform other duties as requested by the supervisor.Required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN).
- Active RN license in the state of Illinois.
- Must meet state-specific requirements for a BNAT Program
Coordinator (e.g., clinical experience, instructor
certification).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably
in long-term care or geriatric settings.
- At least 2 years of experience in nursing education, program
coordination, or clinical instruction.Knowledge, Skills, and
Abilities:
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving
abilities.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with students,
faculty, and healthcare partners.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional
design.
- Ability to manage program budgets and maintain accreditation
standards.Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in nursing.
- Experience in curriculum development, accreditation, or state
regulatory compliance.
- Experience with simulation-based training and clinical
education.
- Familiarity with state CNA certification exam
requirements.
- Knowledge of workforce development initiatives and funding
sources for healthcare education.Physical Demands:
- Ability to spend long durations of the workday sitting at a
desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

these physical demands.Salary and FLSA Status
- Salary: $5,417 - $6,500 per month over a 3-month period.
- FLSA Status: Exempt, Full-time, 37.5 hours.
