Compudopt is a national non-profit organization committed to closing the digital divide by providing technology access and education to under-resourced youth and their communities. We are seeking a Vice President of Curriculum & Instruction to join our team. This full-time position is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Compudopt's educational content and curriculum. Day-to-day duties include curriculum innovation, partnership collaboration, and quality assurance. This is a remote position with travel required up to 35% throughout the United States.The Vice President of Curriculum and Instruction must act with integrity, be committed to achieving organizational goals, take responsibility for mission achievement, demonstrate accountability by starting with yes, and demonstrate the ability to inspire, grow, and motivate others.Major Job Responsibilities and Duties:Curriculum Development and Implementation:

  • Lead the development of age-appropriate curriculum and incorporate specialized curriculum adaptations to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Conduct independent research and incorporate curriculum from accurate and reliable sources.
  • Research and integrate emerging trends in education and technology into the curriculum.
  • Effectively meet deadlines and update curriculum in a timely manner.
  • Lead the development and execution of cutting-edge, evidence-based tech educational curricula.
  • Collaborate with the Vice President of Programs, curriculum development contractors, and the technology education director to ensure alignment between curriculum goals and organizational strategy.
  • Leads and directs company-wide processes for curriculum development and review; new program development, including feasibility studies to assess program need and market demand; the assessment of student learning outcomes; staff development; and supplemental instruction.
  • Leads and directs the development and implementation of the curriculum training calendar to include staff onboarding and curriculum refresher training for all training staff.
  • Create resources, lesson plans, and training materials for instructors to effectively deliver program content.
  • Provide training and professional development to program trainers, program coordinators, and program managers on effective curriculum implementation and instructional strategies.Partnership Engagement and Collaboration:
    • Build and maintain relationships with schools, colleges, universities, community organizations, and other stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with partners to tailor curricula to specific program needs and goals.
    • Collaborate with approved contractor(s) to create curriculum and monitor their creative process, delivery, and revisions of the curriculum to ensure it aligns with program needs.
    • Represent Compudopt in curriculum-focused discussions and/or conferences with external partners and stakeholders.Quality Assurance and Evaluation:
      • Design and implement evaluation tools to assess curriculum impact and effectiveness.
      • Ensures that the process for systematic review and evaluation is completed in partnership with the Program Impact Team, which includes the development and monitoring of learner outcomes and plans of action for improvement based on the assessment of those outcomes.
      • Evaluate the quality and fidelity of program delivery and instruction across all program teams and site locations.
      • Analyze program outcomes and use data to refine and improve educational content.
      • Establish and maintain curriculum standards in alignment with industry best practices.
      • Evaluate and modify existing curriculum to ensure effectiveness and relevance.
      • Provide data reports and create presentations on existing or new program outcomes to the Vice President of Programs as requested.
      • Collaborate with the leadership team to explore new program opportunities and strategies for growth.
      • Lead initiatives to expand the scope and reach of Compudopt's educational programs.
      • Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and update them as needed.
      • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.Qualifications:Required:
        • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
        • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated professional experience in leading curriculum development, instructional design, education, or related fields.
        • Strong background in education, instructional strategy, and learning technologies.
        • Proven ability to design and implement effective curricula for diverse learners.
        • Strong ability to analyze and interpret data for continuous program improvement.Preferred:
          • Master's degree from an accredited college or university.
          • Minimum of 7 or more years of demonstrated professional experience in curriculum development, instructional design, education, or related fields.Special Knowledge/Skills:
            • Experience managing teams and large-scale projects.
            • Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
            • Strong ability to analyze and interpret data for continuous program improvement.
            • Proficiency in education technologies and software.
