Position Summary
The role of the Campaigns Manager is to design, project manage and
deliver innovative, substantive and eye-catching campaigns that
seek to differentiate Reed Smith on key business and legal issues,
demonstrate the firm's international footprint and underpin its
brand proposition. The objective of this role will be to focus on
building the reputation of Reed Smith across our key industries and
firmwide campaign priorities and, in turn, facilitate revenue
growth opportunities.
Working closely with key partners across the firm as well as
colleagues across the marketing and business development function,
this position is responsible for devising, coordinating and
executing thought leadership and issue-led campaigns to drive
greater brand recognition for our priority areas and brand. This
position will lead on all planning, research and analysis,
marketing communications, documentation and after-action reporting
related to the campaign. This role will drive the development of
compelling marketing content, optimize audience journeys and
evaluate the impact of marketing campaigns in achieving their
stated objectives.
Key to this position is the ability to provide strategic evaluation
of potential campaigns, to focus on current market trends and to
position the firm to have a competitive advantage, leading each
effort through completion to ensure optimal return on
investment.
Working as part of the communications team, within the marketing
and business development department, this role will manage one
direct report.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Proactively identify, devise and implement thought leadership and
integrated marketing campaigns with the aim of generating revenue
opportunities and enhancing our brand and reputation in the market
- particularly with existing and prospective clients.
Support and draw on the firm's international network, promote
developments for strategically important offices/regions and
position the firm as a global business.
Ensure projects highlight strategically important sectors and
practices and support the firm's vision and strategy.
Inspire key stakeholders across the business to identify relevant
business issues/topics for thought leadership campaigns.
Advise on creating successful marketing strategies and campaigns.
Produce compelling content and execute campaigns around those
issues and topics.
Manage end-to-end execution of campaigns, including theme
development, audience considerations, content creation, SEO,
platform selection (such as web, social, video, podcast, e-comms),
project schedules and deadlines, and post-mortem reviews.
Use the full range of marketing channels (including client
communication, advertising, social and digital media). Deliver
innovation to keep our approaches fresh and relevant.
Support the firm's brand proposition. Communicate and embed our
brand messaging (so that message is articulated to clients and the
market) and maintain our identity through design, house-style and
tone of voice across all channels.
Collaborate efficiently with internal teams, who will work
alongside the campaign manager to deliver much of the campaign
activity.
Engage people across the business with internal communications and
go-to-market activities.
Produce and work within a budget.
Produce, with input from relevant subject matter experts, content
for necessary marketing materials for use within the campaigns.
Develop, manage and deliver regular reports on campaign results,
including web analysis and evaluation of KPIs.
Maintain regular measurement of the ROI of campaigns.
Ensure accuracy of campaign marketing materials and confirm
required reviews and signoffs have been obtained.
Collect and use data to inform new campaigns and the evaluation of
existing campaigns.
Ensure our web properties and other digital platforms are updated
and that the campaigns are a significant part of the content
calendar for the external website.
Monitor market trends, research client markets and competitor
activities to identify opportunities and key issues.

Requirements
Education: . Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business,
Communications or related field required.
Experience:
Minimum of five years of experience in marketing, BD or
communications at an international law firm or other complex
professional services environment. A strong business development
and marketing acumen and basic legal substantive knowledge is
required.
Experience developing and executing marketing plans is
essential.
Skills:
Genuine interest and appreciation of the macro-economic
environment, with a strong desire to stay current on industry
developments and trends.
Ability to grasp complex or multi-faceted ideas and distil them
into engaging and coherent marketing content.
Outstanding project management skills and extremely detail
oriented.
Proactive and self-directed with ability to independently manage
and appropriately prioritize multiple projects and competing
priorities under tight deadlines.
Excellent writing skills with proven track record of writing
engaging and persuasive content for campaigns and marketing
materials.
Strong communication skills - oral and written, and ability to
'sell' concepts and ideas for marketing campaigns.
Strong team player, this person will work very closely with
colleagues from across the global Marketing & Business Development
team to deliver effective and seamless campaigns.
Flexible and adaptable; ability to multi-task, stay organized and
manage competing priorities.
Comfortable with pulling and interpreting data, in particular as it
relates to the success and ROI of campaigns.
Good understanding of content management systems, marketing
software, email marketing platforms and social media platforms.
Strong brand awareness and experience of working within/adhering to
brand guidelines and expectations.
Technologically savvy and able to quickly learn new database
systems.
Collaborative, resourceful, proactive and creative.
Requires strong organizational skills, time management, initiative,
focus on service delivery and excellent attention to detail and the
ability to perform under pressure.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This role supervises a Campaigns
Executive based in London.
Equipment To Be Used: Personal computer and other office equipment
such as telephone, calculator, fax, machine, copier, scanner,
etc.
Essential Job Functions:

Ability to utilize technology, including computers and
telecommunication devices. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
is also essential.

Able to work independently as well as part of a team and be
flexible in approach.
Able to demonstrate sound professional judgement and high degree of

with individuals at all levels.
Ability to use independent judgment and discretion and adapt to
changing work situations.
Ability to read and interpret written documents, computer screens
and other visual displays accurately.
Ability to hear and understand verbal communication, including
conversations and instructions, is important for effective
collaboration and communication.
Working Conditions: Required to work in the office at minimum 3
days per week. Occasionally called upon to work hours in excess of
your normal daily schedule.
Pay Ranges:
This represents the presently-anticipated low and high end of Reed
Smith's pay range for this position. Actual pay may vary based on
various factors, including but not limited to location and
experience.
Dallas/Houston - $110,000 - $125,000
Philadelphia/Chicago - $120,000 - $135,000
