position involves working as an integral member of a team of
medical and dental specialist and allied health care professionals
to provide comprehensive care for pediatric and adult patients with
congenital or acquired craniofacial conditions. Provide dental
evaluation and treatment for patients receiving radiation therapy
or chemotherapy. Provide treatment for patients requiring general
dental, basic surgical and prosthetic procedures. Duties &
ResponsibilitiesProvide general dental care to patients of The
Craniofacial Center including operative dentistry, extractions,
fixed and removable prosthodonticsProvide general prosthodontic
care to patients of The Craniofacial CenterProvide limited
maxillofacial prosthetic under the supervision of a board-certified
maxillofacial prosthodontistKnowledge of planning, placement and
restoration of osseointegrated dental implantsSedation for clinic
surgical cases per regulationsOral oncology evaluations and patient
counseling; pre radiation, pre chemotherapy and pre organ
transplant patientsCommunication with external dental providers and
with MXP/CFC providersAssist in various MXP/CFC research
projectsCommunicate with dental laboratories to oversee fabrication
of oral prosthesesFamiliarity with all phases of digital
dentistryPerform other related duties and participate in special
projects as assigned.Qualifications:Minimum QualificationsGraduate
of an American Dental Association approved dental school and hold
an active license to practice dentistry in the state of
Illinois.Preferred QualificationsA one-year hospital residency in
General Practice Dentistry is preferred.The University of Illinois
