You provide opportunities for thought leadership through collaboration with research and innovation teams in the development and deployment of innovative technologies.Your Key Responsibilities

• As the Technical Lead of the project team, you will lead civil conveyance design for water, storm, and sanitary sewer projects from preliminary design to detailed design, bidding, and construction inspection.
• You plan, organize, and manage the production of project deliverables to ensure on-time delivery and technical quality within budget.
• You review your team's work and provide technical guidance on design approach and challenges, engineering calculations, design drawings, technical specifications, and construction documents.
• You are a mentor to developing professionals to guide their career development objectives.
• You prepare technical evidenced proposals and reports as project issues arise with clients, contractors, equipment suppliers/vendors or reviewing agencies.
• You assist the Business Center Practice Leader with developing technical approaches for Statements of Qualifications and Proposals and assist with preparing the technical aspects for project interviews conducted by clients.
• You work in a manner to protect the health and safety of Stantec employees, clients, and the public by following company health, safety, and security guidelines and policies.QualificationsYour Capabilities and Credentials
  • Experience and expertise with the design of conveyance projects in urbanized, congested areas.
  • Experience with the design and delivery of water, sewer, and drainage infrastructure 24-inches in diameter and larger.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, market knowledge, business acumen combined with innovative ideas, and a successful history of client relations and account management.Education and Experience
    • Master of Science in Civil/Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution preferred.
      • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in these fields will also be considered.
      • Licensed Professional Engineer, or a combination of education and experience to qualify for licensure within one year of hire.
      • Minimum of 8 years of experience in water infrastructure design projects.
      • Must have good driving record and valid driver's license.Typical office environment working with computers and sitting at a desk.
