• Can plan, implement, and document activities
• The ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with residents, family, and staff in English
• A heart for serviceJob functions:
  • Meet with each resident daily to assist with completing their menu selection for the following day. After completion of menus, submits daily tally sheet to main kitchen.
  • Review menus daily, understanding therapeutic diet orders and resident food preferences.
  • During meal times, prepare plates and serve food in accordance with all pertinent safety and health regulations, guidelines, and ServSafe standards.
  • Order food as needed from main kitchen.
  • Assist with feeding residents as needed after completion of required feeding assistance course. Facilitate mealtime conversations and maintain a warm, pleasant atmosphere while residents are eating.
  • Distribute snacks and ensure residents have fresh ice and water (or preferred beverage) throughout the day.
  • Assist with taking inventory of, storing, and ordering household grocery supplies.
  • Plan and post monthly activities calendars for designated areas in skilled nursing.
  • Escort residents to activities and encourage their participation.
  • Maintain a safe, comfortable, and functional environment by assessing the household for potential hazards, implementing practices utilizing appropriate techniques regarding sanitation, infection control, fire safety, disaster preparedness, and emergency care.We have a competitive benefit package:
