ServicesMacdill Air Force Base, Tampa, FLThe Naval Integration
Planning Services assists the United States Marine Corps Forces,
Central Command (MARCENT) and subordinate commands by serving
within the plans and policy directorate task area. The position's
primary mission involves assisting and advising the COMUSMARCENT in
joint-level and service-level planning, deliberate planning, crisis
action planning, force deployment planning, and requirements
development, validation, and prioritization. The Naval Integration
Planning Services directly supports plans and policy under the
MARCENT G-5, including planning of USMC and USN integration efforts
in the CENTCOM AOR to ensure efficient completion of MARCENT OAMS
tasks. The Naval Integration Planning Services will perform the
following duties:ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide a capability to support MARCENT naval integration.
Services entail planning of USMC and USN integration efforts in the
CENTCOM AOR.
- Attend HQMC, CENTCOM and NAVCENT level planning events to best
plan for, analyze and assess naval force integration efforts.
- Assist with the planning of major OPLANs that support naval
integration efforts. Naval integration efforts include, but are not
limited to, maritime raids, Non-combatant Evacuation Operations
(NEO), and Foreign Humanitarian Assistance (FHA) / Disaster Relief
(DR) operations.
- Track ongoing and emerging integration efforts between Marine
and Naval forces in other combatant commands, from the tactical to
the operational level, in order to determine best practices and
apply efforts in CENTCOM.
- Participate in planning teams to determine opportunities for
naval support in contingency plans development.
- Coordinate with HQMC (PP&O and CD&I) and MARFORCOM on
Service-level naval integration efforts and issues; maintain
awareness of Naval Board and Maritime Working Group discussions and
general officer level decisions.
- Prepare products to support informed decision-making by the
COMUSMARCENT.
- Serve as a MARCENT liaison to NAVCENT.
- Review Joint and Service level doctrine pertaining to Naval
operating concepts, ship posture, and building; chair an assessment
cell of component action officers to evaluate and track integration
efforts.
- Develop assessments, briefs, and information papers.
- Provide SME guidance and recommendations.
- Support internal MARCENT working groups.EDUCATION
- HS diploma or equivalent required.EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of ten years of military experience.
- Experience in planning and executing USMC and USN integration
efforts, particularly within the CENTCOM AOR, including maritime
raids, Non-combatant Evacuation Operations (NEO), and Foreign
Humanitarian Assistance (FHA) / Disaster Relief (DR)
operations.
- Experience in tracking and analyzing ongoing and emerging naval
integration efforts across combatant commands, applying best
practices to CENTCOM operations.CORE SKILLS/COMPETENCIESRequired
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must possess full understanding and experience of the force
management process for planning, prioritizing, and designating
operations of both USMC and USN forces as well as Naval integration
command relationships.
- Proficient in preparing assessments, briefs, information
papers, and providing subject matter expertise (SME) guidance and
recommendations.
- Expertise in reviewing and applying Joint and Service level
doctrine related to naval operations, ship posture, and
integration.
- Advanced proficiency with groupware applications (SharePoint,
MS Teams) and the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Power Point, Excel,
etc.) desired.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills desired.WORKING
CONDITIONS
- Required to sit for extended periods of time and maintain
focus.SPECIAL POSITION NOTATIONS
- Travel is required.
- Qualification as an authorized company driver is required. All
authorized company drivers must have a valid driver's license,
current automobile insurance, and a driving record that is
acceptable to the company's auto insurance provider.SECURITY
