Hiring Salary Range : 68,000.00 - 89,000.00This range represents
the hiring range. Salaries are determined individually depending on
skills and experience. You will also be eligible to an annual

SummaryThe Market Analyst is responsible for handling the ongoing
contract and pricing management requirements of the business unit
for grain and processed grain products. The incumbent works in a
group environment and is flexible to workload requirements. The
role ensures contract management and strategic marketing
initiatives.Main ResponsibilitiesTariff and Contract Management---
Establish market rates for rail movements following CN Pricing
process and CN Playbook--- Work with the Market Managers to ensure
pricing data is processed on time to meet deadlines established for
publications--- Review and manage customer contracts, and
agreements or renewals for the Sales department--- Provide guidance
to Account Managers and Accounting Representatives on customer
disputes--- Assist in completing the strategic account plan for
national customers and market strategy plans for Market
ManagersResearch--- Assess market and modal competition, costs,
service requirements and equipment availability--- Undertake
studies related to corridor pricing structure and modal
competition--- Contribute to segment business and pricing
strategies--- Review nature and scope of segment as well as
customer requirementsCosting--- Improve CN's cost structure---
Assist the Market Manager with the creation of Price Volume Mix
Division (PVMD) for major contract renewalsWorking ConditionsThe
role has standard working conditions in an office environment with
a regular workweek from Monday to Friday. The incumbent must be
flexible to workload requirements. Due to the nature of the role,
the incumbent must be able to meet tight deadlines, handle pressure
and stress.RequirementsExperienceMarketing--- Between 3 to 5 years
of marketing experienceo Experience in using Tableau and other data
analysis toolso Previous experience in transportation, supply chain
management, agribusiness, distribution, and logistics**Any
experience for these above would be considered as an
assetEducation/Certification/Designation--- Bachelor's Degree in
Marketing, Economics, Business Administration, Agribusiness, or
equivalentCompetencies--- Considers environmental impacts in every
decision and action--- Collaborates with others and shares
information--- Knows the business and stays current on industry
needs--- Applies critical thinking--- Demonstrates agility and
drives change*Any competency for these above would be considered as
an assetTechnical Skills/Knowledge--- Financial acumen and ability
