An Advanced Analytics Consultant's primary responsibility is to leverage strong technical skills (SQL, R, Python, and Tableau) and healthcare industry knowledge (payor, provider, pharmacy, public health, epidemiology, etc.) to conduct client-facing engagements with HCSC's largest Enterprise National Accounts (ENAs).NOTE: This hybrid role (3 days in office) can be in CHICAGO IL or RICHARDSON TX - relocation will not be offered; sponsorship is not available.Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree and 4 years of experience in health care services, statistical analysis, or insurance industry economics OR Master's degree with 2 years of experience in health care services, statistical analysis, or insurance industry economics.
• 3 years' experience in analyzing medical claims data.
• Understanding, and being highly proficient at querying, a wide variety of healthcare data and related population data (medical/pharmacy claims, behavioral health claims, health care management (HCM) records, electronic medical records (EMR), provider databases (AMA, NPI, DEA, etc.), member/patient demographic data, and publicly available databases (U.S. Census, Bureau of Labor Statistics, NIH, etc.) in order to construct a robust, accurate, 360-view data environment that is unique to each client.
• Performance excellence in one or more of the following computer languages: SQL, SAS, R, Python.
• Ability to create a dynamic and visually engaging dashboard in Tableau.
• Acquaintance with version control/collaborative tools such as GitHub.
• High degree of business intelligence and understanding how to take a business case from inception to client execution.
• Performance excellence in championing initiatives and collaborating with multiple stakeholders to bring the initiative to life.Preferred Job Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree.
  • Degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Engineering, Business.
  • Employing techniques such as a case-control study, regression analyses, principal component analyses, clustering exercises, propensity scoring, classification, ROI calculation, etc. to produce actionable insights.
  • Understanding of Agile and Waterfall project management methods.
