SummaryThe Health Economics Team (HET) is seeking a candidate to
fulfill the Advanced Analytics Consultant position in its Chicago,
Dallas, and Austin offices. An Advanced Analytics Consultant's
primary responsibility is to leverage strong technical skills (SQL,
R, Python, and Tableau) and healthcare industry knowledge (payor,
provider, pharmacy, public health, epidemiology, etc.) to conduct
client-facing engagements with HCSC's largest Enterprise National
Accounts (ENAs).NOTE: This hybrid role (3 days in office) can be in
CHICAGO IL or RICHARDSON TX - relocation will not be offered;
sponsorship is not available.Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and 4 years of experience in health care
services, statistical analysis, or insurance industry economics OR
Master's degree with 2 years of experience in health care services,
statistical analysis, or insurance industry economics.
- 3 years' experience in analyzing medical claims data.
- Understanding, and being highly proficient at querying, a wide
variety of healthcare data and related population data
(medical/pharmacy claims, behavioral health claims, health care
management (HCM) records, electronic medical records (EMR),
provider databases (AMA, NPI, DEA, etc.), member/patient
demographic data, and publicly available databases (U.S. Census,
Bureau of Labor Statistics, NIH, etc.) in order to construct a
robust, accurate, 360-view data environment that is unique to each
client.
- Performance excellence in one or more of the following computer
languages: SQL, SAS, R, Python.
- Ability to create a dynamic and visually engaging dashboard in
Tableau.
- Acquaintance with version control/collaborative tools such as
GitHub.
- High degree of business intelligence and understanding how to
take a business case from inception to client execution.
- Performance excellence in championing initiatives and
collaborating with multiple stakeholders to bring the initiative to
life.Preferred Job Qualifications:
- Master's Degree.
- Degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Engineering,
Business.
- Employing techniques such as a case-control study, regression
analyses, principal component analyses, clustering exercises,
propensity scoring, classification, ROI calculation, etc. to
produce actionable insights.
- Understanding of Agile and Waterfall project management
methods.
- Versed in automation tools such as Alteryx.Pay Transparency
