Position Summary

Nestled at the confluence of the Rock and Crawfish rivers, our factory has been a cornerstone since 1910. As one of the largest manufacturers in the region, we ship countless truckloads and railcars of beloved brands like Fancy Feast -, Friskies -, and Pro Plan -. Beyond our mass production, our Jefferson factory proudly donates 1.2 million cans of food annually, supporting over 40 animal shelters and organizations. Our factory is also doing our part to care for the environment we share, like conserving water, investing in renewable electricity, and maintaining zero waste for disposal. As a Factory Quality Technician, you will be responsible for testing samples of our raw materials and finished products, communicating those test results with the appropriate departments. You will regularly interact with Production, Maintenance, and Product Safety. You will have the opportunity to cross-train and gain experience in multiple areas across QA to strengthen your skillset. Quality and safety are the promises we make on every bag, container, tub, and can - and we continue to deliver on that promise.

Analyze finished product using various test methods, including wet chemistry
Perform manufacturing line inspections
Perform sensory evaluations of in process and finished product
Initiates all formula changes for Processing Department
Sample and test incoming ingredients that include, but are not limited to physical testing, salmonella and EB testing, environmental sampling, and testing bins, sacks, and totes
Promote Quality and Food Safety culture in the organization

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
1 + years working in quality, food manufacturing, production, manufacturing, military, or related environment

The approximate pay range for this position is $43,913 to $54,080. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
