Project Estimator - Building MaterialsLocation: Chicago, IL (Wrigleyville; free parking available onsite) 1st Year OTE: $80,000-$95,000; 2nd Year OTE: $110,000+Base Salary: $70,000-$80,000 + Commission Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k w/ matching, Holidays, Generous PTO, Travel Reimbursement Start Date: ASAPJob Type: Full-TimeTypical Hours: M-F, 8 AM - 5 PM (40-45 hours)Travel: Typically, 2 days each week; Chicagoland areaProject Estimator/Sales Rep DescriptionOur client, a building materials distributor, is searching for a Project Estimator/Sales Rep to join their Team in Chicago, IL. Their General Manager is looking to focus more on the daily operations and transition some of his active accounts. In this role, you'll work with new and existing clients to understand project needs and quote their interior building materials (drywall, metal framing, etc.). From high rises to standalone locations, our client does it all, so you'll have exposure to both quick projects (a few weeks) to those that require more nurturing over the course of a year. This role is also focused on growing their account base so they're looking for candidates who are comfortable with prospecting to potential clients. You'll spend about two days each week outside of their office meeting clients in person. Whether you have experience with building materials within a construction environment or have a sales background selling similar interior building materials, this is a great opportunity for someone who values having the support to be successful but the space to get the job done.Responsibilities

  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline
  • Review project needs and quote materials
  • Support customers in finding solutions
  • Build rapport with clients and nurture existing accounts
  • Respond to inquiries and ensure accurate information
  • Request feedback from customers regarding products
  • Organize delivery requests to ensure prompt service
  • Address and resolve any customer service issues
  • Travel to job sites and ensure timely follow up with customersQualifications
  • Background with interior building materials (drywall, metal framing, insulation, etc.) required
  • Strong industry knowledge whether through sales, construction, or estimating required
  • Travel typically 2 days each week by car around the Chicagoland area required
  • Driver's license required
