Job Title: Imaging Technologist
Department/Location: Radiology / Hinsdale, IL and Chicago, IL
Shifts: Rotating 8 hours shifts, including rotating weekends and
holidays
Full-time (72 hours per pay period) + benefit eligible

Compensation: Pay is determined by various factors, including but
not limited to job-specific requirements, individual experience,
internal pay equity, and organizational needs/budget
considerations, all in alignment with our RML's compensation

The Radiology/CT Staff Technologist is responsible for coordinating
and completing daily procedures in the Radiology Department. This
includes prioritizing sequence of procedures, completion of actual
exam, and following through with all necessary paperwork. They will
assist the Lead Technologists and Manager of Diagnostic Imaging in
the completion of any delegated duties. Cross training in CT will
be provided for all Staff.
Reports to: Director of Diagnostic Imaging
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Initiates and completes all Radiology and CT procedures, producing
quality images, demonstrates appropriate psychosocial interventions
based on age and developmental status.
Prepares room, transports patient, and cleans room after completion
of exam.
Assists with implementation of all policies and procedures.
Gives precise information to Radiologist concerning patient's
condition and location of any trauma.
Assumes responsibility for own continuing education.
Seeks guidance when needed, consulting with Lead Technologist
and/or other personnel as needed.
Monitors and maintains all equipment in the Radiology/CT
Department.
Will meet department goals and objectives for budget, clinical
quality and patient satisfaction. Works with other departments and
staff to achieve hospital and departmental goal and objectives.
Identifies and participates in implementation of opportunities for
improvement in all aspects of operations.
Performs all office duties, such as maintaining logs, records,
answering phones QC/QA reports, relaying information between
coworkers and ensuring completion before end of shift.
Stocks room and put away supplies on a daily basis. Also, informs
Lead Technologist of any low stock.
Assists with JC/IDPH and annual IEMA surveys.
Accepts and completes all additional duties that may be
assigned.
Must be flexible with scheduling, accepting additional hours and/or
different shifts as they may be required. Will be required to float
between both campuses as needed.
Assistance in Special Procedures as required, including scheduling
and proper coding, room preparation, cleaning and packing of
trays.
Have the physical ability for almost constant standing, walking and
lifting, moving patients and patient care equipment and wearing
radiation protective devices for long periods of time.
Performs EKG testing as required.
Exemplifies the RML REACH (Service Excellence) culture by

identified in departmental and hospital wide behavioral
expectations.
Will rotate through weekend, on-call and holiday schedule as
required, once qualified.
Will ensure pager/ in house phones are in good working order and in
their possession at start of shift and on-call shift.
Will adhere to and ensure compliance with standards of care,
standards of practice and policies and procedures of RML Specialty
Hospital.
Works with in Meditech to enter proper procedure charges.
Will communicate in a clear and positive manner with all coworkers
on daily basis.
JOB REQUIREMENTS & CHARACTERISTICS
MINIMUM
PREFERRED
Skills & Abilities
Ability to follow and give direction and instruction as
required.
Must possess good communication skills. Must be team oriented, able
to work well with co-workers to achieve department and hospital
missions.
Must be able to adjust routine and adapt quickly to changes and
interruptions in work flow
Must be knowledgeable in cross sectional anatomy.
Must be able to work cooperatively with hospital and other
staff.
Knowledge &
Experience
Extensive knowledge of General Radiology .
Must be able to work well independently.
Must be able to critique own work in relationship to quality and
completeness.
Extensive knowledge of three modalities in Radiology.
CT experience preferred
License & Certifications
I.E.M.A. licensure required.
CPR certification
ARRT registered
Working Conditions
The physical ability for almost constant standing, walking and
lifting, moving patients and patient care equipment.
Must be able to efficiently move and physically operate all
equipment used in their job performance.
Hospital environment.
