Job DescriptionTitle: Quantitative Research DirectorLocation: Chicago, IL (hybrid - 3 days in office)Compensation: $140-175k + bonusContact: Lindsey Bartlett - lbartlett@smithhanley.comOne of our favorite clients, an innovative consultancy dedicated to bespoke, custom primary research techniques, is looking for a new Research Director. This person would have 2 direct reports, leading client relationships and managing projects within the quantitative research space.This position is a seller-doer so you need to feel comfortable going after new business and maintaining client relationships.What you'll be doing:

• Leading client engagements and managing relationships
• Mentoring junior level staff
• Design and deliver custom research projects
• Crafting research proposals, developing methods and overseeing projects
• Apply advanced analytical methods to uncover narrativesWhat makes you qualified:
  • Minimum 6 years experience in custom, primary research within a research company
  • Proven experience leading a team
  • Proven experience within quantitative, primary research methods
  • Experience managing large-scale, complex projects from start to finish in terms of time, budget, and client satisfaction
  • Ability to be in office, in Chicago, 2-3 days per week
