Job Description:
The Security & Asset Protection Assistant Manager plays a
critical role in ensuring the safety, security, and protection of
guests, employees, and assets at Edgewood Tahoe Resort. This
position supports the Security & Asset Protection Manager in
overseeing security operations, enforcing safety protocols, and
maintaining a secure and welcoming environment that aligns with the
resort's high standards of service excellence.Key
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing security policies,
procedures, and emergency response plans.
- Oversee daily security operations, ensuring a proactive
approach to risk mitigation.
- Conduct routine security patrols of the resort, including guest
areas, back-of-house, and perimeters.
- Ensure a discreet yet effective security presence to provide a
safe and luxurious environment for guests.
- Monitor surveillance systems (CCTV) and respond promptly to
security incidents.
- Lead investigations into security breaches, theft, or safety
concerns, ensuring proper reporting and resolution.
- Respond to emergency situations, including medical incidents,
fire alarms, and crisis events, coordinating with local authorities
when needed.
- Address guest concerns regarding security matters with
professionalism and discretion.
- Supervise, train, and mentor the security team, ensuring high
performance and adherence to resort policies.
- Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and industry
security standards.
- Maintain accurate incident reports, shift logs, and security
documentation.
- Work closely with other departments (Front Office,
Housekeeping, Engineering, and F&B) to support seamless
operations.
- Assist in coordinating security measures for high-profile
guests, VIPs, and special events.
- Liaise with law enforcement, emergency responders, and external
security agencies as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support the overall
success of the team and business.Qualifications and Skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends,
and holidays.
- 3 years of security experience in luxury hospitality, high-end
retail, or private security.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and crisis management
skills.
- Ability to remain composed under pressure and handle
confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of security technology (CCTV, access control, alarm
systems).
- First Aid/CPR/AED certification (preferred)Physical
Requirements
- Must be able to safely lift, move, and stack items weighing up
to 40 lbs.
- Able to perform physical tasks, including bending, lifting, and
standing for extended periods.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
