Division Vice President, Operations in USA. Your mission will be
to:Position SummaryThis position reports to the Head of Operations
and oversees and directs all activities of assigned division
laboratory operations to ensure profitability, sales growth, and
high levels of client satisfaction by providing accurate and
reliable test results.Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Establishing Strategic DirectionProvide strategic direction by
setting short and long-term goals for direct reports; able to close
gaps, adjust priorities as circumstances change. Responsible for
generation of long-range objectives and vision; focuses efforts and
resources on the strategic priorities with the greatest potential
for positive impact. Establish priorities and guide implementation
of key objectives/projects that add value to the organization.
Empower leaders to delegate and create a functioning team in their
location to improve autonomy. Lead major improvement efforts at
network/lab level. Manage challenging goals and set high
performance standards for self and others; lead actions toward
expected business outcomes. Demonstrates energy and a sense of
urgency toward desired results; focuses on performance gaps, able
to overcome obstacles. Continuously communicate goals to areas of
responsibility.
- Cultivating Networks and PartnershipsCreates and fosters a
networking plan to identify the relationships that should be
initiated or improved to achieve business goals; both internal and
external (clients, institutions of higher learning, vendors, trade
organizations).
- Business SavvyUnderstands and recognizes the business
propositions and processes; able to identify and adjust to
information gaps and needs for deeper analysis. Develop efficient
steps for execution of viability business propositions and
processes; ensures complete investigations to minimize risk and
maximize opportunity. Evaluates performance of each business unit
and makes recommendations for improvement (vendors, personnel
schedules, orders, inventory processes and workforce solution
transformation).
- Leading ChangeRecognizes a need and ensures accountability by
taking immediate action to improve organizational culture,
processes, and services. Offers resources and direction to support
implementation. Understands and overcomes resistance to change;
explaining benefits, demonstrating sensitivity to fears, gaining
commitment. Able to use ideas and plan implementation. Sets the
tone of integrity, accountability, excellence and initiative by
modeling the behavior that is expected from leaders and staff.

Required
- Bachelor's Degree
- Advanced knowledge of food microbiology, food chemistry, or
food science
- Progressive Leadership experience with increased
responsibility.Qualifications Desired
- A thorough knowledge of laboratory operations, scientific
project design, Standard Operating Procedures, and the food or
laboratory services industry is required to ensure business unit
operations consistently meet or exceed objectives.
- Profitable Growth Mindset through supporting and fostering
customer facing engagement along with commercial leader
collaboration.
- Strong delegation and empowering skills to promote autonomy to
cultivate an environment where leaders grow and thrive.
- General knowledge of laboratory and business information
management systems and other company information systems is needed
to review and understand operational
results.CommunicationWell-developed oral and written communication
skills are essential for effective customer, client, and employee
interactions. Expected to regularly communicate with Customer Care,
Sales and other team members in Operations.Success Factors / Job

obtained from previous management experience, are necessary to
ensure that operations are effective and efficient. Operational

needed to proactively address business concerns and identify
opportunities as they arise. A basic knowledge of operating
personal computers is necessary to track laboratory information and
produce special reports to support the management function.Physical
Demands and Work EnvironmentThis position spends time in both
office and laboratory environments; occasional exposure to
laboratory fumes, chemicals and materials may occur and
temperatures may vary. Evening and weekend hours might be necessary
to best service our clients.TravelFrequent travel (35%) is required
to attend meetings, seminars, training sessions, client sites and
other laboratories.CompensationCompensation Range:Potential bonus:
