Director Finance Accounting Manager is responsible for leadership,
direction and strategic initiatives within the functional group as
well as the management of the day-to-day revenue accounting
functions. Working under the direction of the Head of Finance
Platform Operations- Americas this role is responsible for the
management of the full revenue cycle, processes and internal
controls, and the audit process. This position will also help to
grow and develop the revenue cycle team and be a business partner
with other departments within the organization. This position
provides insight and support for optimal business decision making.
The ideal candidate enjoys collaborating with people with a diverse
set of talents, can drive projects from concept to completion, and
communicates well across teams in a dynamic and fast paced
environment.What you'll do:
- Drive revenue monthly close process including preparation and
presentation of current monthly recurring revenue reporting, and
KPI metrics package to executive leadership.
- Manage day-to-day revenue accounting operations with billing
and accounting team, and directly mentor and develop current
staff.
- Ensure accurate and timely revenue financial records are
maintained in compliance with ASC606.
- Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the Contracts
module in Sage Intacct financial system, and revenue recognition
general ledger structure compliant with ASC606.
- Assist with ensuring entity compliance with all regulatory
entities encountered.
- Technical accounting research pertaining to revenue
recognition, and ability to translate Contract language into
revenue recognition accounting treatment.
- Track and assist the business in reacting to Key Performance
Indicators (KPI's).
- Continuously improve processes to scale with the
organization.
- Proactively identify and advance opportunities for improvement
(for business, operations or people).
- Partner with cross-functional teams on a regular basis to
identify areas of improvement within the revenue cycle and solve
issues (if any).
- Ensure adequate processes and controls are in place and
followed to ensure the accuracy of our revenue recognition
reporting.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex matters
concisely.
- Assist in revenue budget and forecasting activities as needed
and respond to inquiries from the company-wide managers regarding
revenue results and ad-hoc reporting requests.
- Assist in the annual audit process with external auditors and
ensure completion of quarterly/ad hoc reporting requirements.What
we're looking for:
- A motivated and experienced accounting professional who can
oversee the core revenue cycle accounting function of our business,
deliver timely and accurate revenue recognition reporting of our
financial position, and help us develop and implement new processes
and controls needed to scale our rapidly evolving company.
- Proven ability to interpret and apply ASC606 accounting
guidance and prepare formal, well-supported memos and supporting
analyses.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- Strong knowledge of ASC606.
- 6+ years of experience - Public Accounting / Private Industry
mix and CPA strongly preferred.
- Experience directly or indirectly managing a team.
- Endless curiosity and desire to continuously learn and share
with the broader group.
- Ability to apply new methodologies that satisfy systematic and
scalable processes.
- Ability to remain positive under pressure and to multitask in a
deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high-level quality
of work.
- Systems implementation experience a plus.
- Sage Intacct and Salesforce experience preferred.
- Exceptional verbal, written communication, and interpersonal
skills.
- Detail oriented and capable of carrying out given tasks
independently.Estimated total compensation for this position:
90,000.00 - 115,000.00 USD per yearThe total compensation range is
