Aon is looking for a Property Risk Consultant - Automobile
Industry We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a
Property Risk Control Consultant. This position will support Aon's
Property Risk Consulting group. The successful candidate can expect
to work with colleagues and in support of a large global client to
develop an understanding of the many property risks posed by fire,
earthquake, flood, and other Natural Catastrophes. They will assist
in making recommendations to the client which will reduce the Total
Cost of Risk (TCOR) of the client's property portfolio. This
position can be located near a client site in the Detroit, or work
virtually from Michigan, Ohio, Indiana or Illinois.How this

business growth and aligning operational initiatives with regional
and global objectives, making a direct impact on the company's
success.What the day will look like:
- Act as a project manager for a global client with tasks
including, coordination of services, monitoring of work completion,
quality control, resource allocation, supporting the annual
insurance renewal, etc.
- Provide technical support and guidance to manufacturing plants,
warehouses, R&D centers and offices in the areas of fire
protection, fire alarm, code consulting, and general loss
prevention.
- Survey client facilities for fire, NatCat, and other property
loss potential. Develop loss expectancies for recommendations and
MFL, PML & NLE.
- Consult with client and client representatives on ways to
control hazards in order to reduce or prevent losses. Influence
clients to implement recommendations.
- Resolve technical fire protection issues using the application
of Client Standards, NFPA, FM Global or other best practices.
- Witness hydrant and fire pump flow tests, sketch sprinkler
systems, and carry out hydraulic calculations.
- Support construction and new manufacturing projects to ensure
necessary fire protection standards are met.Skills and experience
that will lead to success
- 5-7+ years minimum experience in a consulting role with an HPR
Property Insurance Company, or a 3rd party fire protection
engineering consultancy
- Experience in manufacturing occupancies and associated
hazards
- Strong automotive and manufacturing experience a plus
- Technically proficient in understanding, interpreting, and
applying standards such as NFPA, FM Global, IBC, or clients own;
and, evaluating fire protection systems (automatic sprinklers,
special extinguishing systems, etc.)
- Ideal candidate is self-sufficient, organized, and has good
written and oral communication skills
- Must be physical fit and able to climb ladders and stairs and
transition to and from ladders or stairs in order to access
building roof areas and upper or lower floors within a customer
site during surveys.
- Past experience with, and ability to assess high hazard
occupancies (flammable liquids, combustible dusts, etc.)
- Travel more than 50 miles from the office is expected 50% of
the time

- B.S. Engineering or minimum 5 years of Highly Protected Risk

salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is
$90,000 to $120,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on
applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well
as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may
also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. This
position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual
incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in
addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is
subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive
plan. Aon offers a comprehensive package of benefits for full-time
