Job Description:
TITLE: Superintendent - Sheet MetalJOB DUTIES / GENERAL
REQUIREMENTS:The Superintendent will report directly to the General
Superintendent. The Superintendent is responsible for leading and
managing a team of foremen and sheet metal technicians to deliver
exceptional quality and customer service to our clients. The
Superintendent will be closely working with leadership to
understand the goals and direction of Pueblo Mechanical and lead
their team to generate profits.Job Duties:
- Develop solutions to make sure issues never become
problems.
- Review projects with leadership after equipment and subs are
procured.
- Conduct physical surveys of projects to ascertain conditions
and report back in writing, if required.
- Complete material takeoffs for projects in a timely and
thorough manner.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise on-site functions including
scheduling, material control, rentals, and daily supervision as
required.
- Ensure all site personnel comply with project procedures,
safety program requirements, company policies, and other
requirements as they occur. Document all incidents and notify
leadership, recommending and implementing corrective action.
- Ensure that all completed jobs have start-up sheets for any
assets turned in for start-up and warranty.
- Conduct inspections on jobs to ensure they meet Pueblo
Mechanical standards and are ready for start-ups, coordinating with
contractors, engineers, subcontractors, and owners as
necessary.
- Coordinate with the shop for production scheduling and
deliveries.
- Ensure all time worked is approved and submitted weekly.Quality
Assurance:
- Ensure quality of work meets and/or exceeds acceptable industry
standards.
- Complete Quality Assurance analysis on projects to prevent call
backs and warranty work.
- Conduct job-site walks with clients to ensure complete
satisfaction.Build Long-Term Relationships:
- Client Relationships: Proactively build and maintain
relationships with current and future clients. Communicate with the
construction team at all times.
- Subcontractor Relationships: Develop relationships with
subcontractors to support future growth and opportunities. Be
proactive when scheduling subcontractors to ensure overall project
success.Human Resources:
- Recognize and track the progress of employees, nominating
individuals for promotions and/or incentive bonuses.
- Assist with interviewing prospective employees and make
recommendations.Safety:
- Ensure all Pueblo Mechanical and project-specific safety
requirements are met.
- Ensure all staff wear their personal protection equipment at
all times.
- Coordinate with the safety officer for job site visits and
ensure a safe job site.General Requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated and punctual.
- Able to multi-task with excellent follow-up skills both
internally and externally.
- Professional in appearance and speech.
- Experience with government facilities is a plus.THIS IS A
