- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent
practical experience.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant
(CA).
- 7 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 5
years with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or
finance.
- Experience with US GAAP related to ASC 842 (lease accounting)
or IFRS 16 lease accounting standards and fixed asset/construction
accounting.Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Sheets, Slides, SQL and SAP.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional,
fast-paced environment, and to lead and drive complex operational
initiatives.
- Ability to have strong attention to detail, organizational
skills and focus on continuous improvement.
- Excellent investigative skills with the ability to communicate

the full accounting process end to end. You'll advise on financial
reports required by governmental regulations, and review, analyze,
and interpret financial and budgetary reports. Every day is a new

business objectives.You'll lead an accounting process from
end-to-end. Other responsibilities include reconciling balance
sheets and P&L accounts, and providing supplementary financial
information for internal and external reports.The REWS lease
accounting team manages the global accounting for Google's leased
office space, including the sublease of both owned and leased
properties. These workspaces and related services enable Googlers
to grow as we work to deliver on Google's mission. In this role,
you will serve as the liaison between the REWS Accounting and
Technical Accounting teams and REWS business partners by leveraging
your strong accounting acumen, business partnering, financial
reporting and innovative problem-solving skills.Responsibilities
- Accounting business partner for Google REWS Americas expense
and income leases; subject matter expert for the application of US
GAAP ASC 842 lease accounting guidance (and IFRS 16 for Canada and
Latin America) for this population of leases.
- Collaborate across REWS Lease work streams and business
partners and cross-functional teams, including Transactions and
Lease Administration teams, US GAAP accounting teams, International
Controllership, and internal and external auditors.
- Maintain effective internal controls for REWS Americas lease
accounting, identifying opportunities and driving the
implementation of process and system improvements, operational
efficiencies and automated solutions.
- Operational accounting tasks such as preparation and posting of
ad-hoc journal entries, review of account reconciliations, and
month-end close and quarter-end 10Q/10K reporting support for lease
disclosures.
- Lead ad-hoc analyses to support a wide array of internal and
external reporting requirements.The US base salary range for this
full-time position is $125,000-$183,000 + bonus + equity +
benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and
location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work
location and additional factors, including job-related skills,
experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can
