It's bonus points when you get to see your family and friends use the tech you secure at their favorite McDonald's restaurant.Job Description:McDonald's is seeking a Senior Manager - Application Endpoint Security to support our cybersecurity team as we protect our customers and the McDonald's brand. You will develop and lead an application security program that is designed to ensure that all developed software meets exact McDonald's standards while enabling continued innovation to meet customers' needs.This role will be responsible for managing API Application Security services and enhancing existing services to meet the increasing needs for protecting our users, devices, networks, applications, and data. This person will work closely with all areas of the business, technology, and application teams to ensure that our services are meeting the needs of markets, application teams, corporate departments, and other partners. The services under this role include but are not limited to: Client Reputation, Web Application Firewall (WAF), IP & Geo Blocking, Denial of Service Protection, Bot Management, Account Protection, and API Security protection. You will lead the strategic direction, technical evolution, and manage our day-to-day operations of our API Security products and platforms.Responsibilities

  • Stay up to date on emerging threats and potential impact to our cyber ecosystem
  • Define, implement, and maintain application security policies, procedures, blueprints, and standards across development teams and applications, inclusive of API network security.
  • Drive the education of application teams on API & Attack Surface tools and capabilities.
  • Develop and sustain cooperative relationships with other cyber and business teams and collaborators to share knowledge and enhance the organization's overall security posture.
  • Measure and report on metrics for all application security initiatives.
  • Lead design, engineering, and delivery activities for API network security platforms.
  • Oversee platform vision, strategy, roadmap, prioritization, and budgeting.
  • Ensure availability, resiliency, operability, and performance of the service.
  • Build and grow a high-performing team of engineering professionals.Qualifications:Minimum Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or other related fields (Master's Degree Preferred).
    • 5+ years of professional experience in Application API Security or related roles.
    • Experience managing technical teams and leading security projects and initiatives.
    • Ability to communicate complex concepts to technical / non-technical customers
    • 5+ years team management experience
    • Extensive experience in managing API network security products, focusing on content delivery network security capabilities.
    • Experience of developing API network security standards with implementation.Desired skills:
      • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH) preferred.
      • Familiarity with complex multinational companies and distributed business models.
      • Experience in driving technology in a complex and chaotic environment.
      • Solid ability to develop strategic direction and long-term objectives without supervision.
      • Social skills with the ability to translate complex technical issues or concepts to non-technical audiences in a clear and concise manner that focuses on business value.
      • Ability to interpret and understand business needs and to inform security teams.
      • Ability to develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards aligned with industry frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR.
      • Ability to build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with partners.
