Data Analyst to spearhead our product analytics initiatives. In
this role, you will collaborate closely with our EPD team to
develop analytical rigor, establish key metrics, and provide
recommendations for product improvements. You will lead growth
initiatives and present insights that will directly impact our
product roadmap.As an early member of the team, you'll play a key
role in shaping the future of data at Writer. You'll help define
our metrics layer and consolidate our data into a single source of
truth. You'll have to navigate between data modeling, dashboarding
and stakeholder management. You'll constantly be challenged with
hard problems, while juggling many data requests. If you are

VitallyYour responsibilities
- Data Analysis: Collect, clean, and analyze data to extract
meaningful insights, and identify trends and patterns to inform
business decisions. Design and analyze A/B tests.
- Data Modeling: Design and build new ELT-based data models using
SQL and dbt, implementing efficient testing and validation to
ensure the accuracy and integrity of the data.
- Reporting: Create dashboards and visualizations that will lead
to better business outcomes, product development prioritization and
higher operational efficiencies.
- Collaboration: Partner with Product, Marketing, GTM and other
cross-functional teams to standardize and report on key metrics,
while supporting each team with their ad-hoc reporting needs.
- Data literacy: Develop resources to empower data access. Drive
the vision, building, and adoption of self-service analytic
capabilities.
- Data leadership: Champion best practices and serve as a subject
matter expert in data modeling, analytics, and visualization.Is
this you?
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in a product analytics role,
ideally in a SaaS environment
- Advanced SQL and dbt skills
- Proficient with product analytics tools like Amplitude,
Mixpanel, or similar
- Proficient with data visualization tools like Tableau, Looker,
or similar
- An analytical mindset, with the intellectual curiosity to
search for context and insight behind the numbers
- Ability to distill complex information into easily consumable
reports and communications that provide insights, enabling quick
decision making
- Thrives in ambiguity and can create paved roads from dirt
paths
- Bonus points if you have worn multiple analyst hats - marketing
analyst, product analyst, operations analyst.
- Extra bonus points if you have experience working on the data
engineering side of the houseAND
- High intellectual curiosity and a proclivity to lean into a new
subject matter
